Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of project analyst professionals across multiple capital projects while coaching and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Oversee project cost performance reviews, variance analysis, and forecasting across assigned North America portfolio
- Alert leadership to areas of concern within project portfolio performance to support proactive decision-making
- Develop and maintain North America-wide budget and schedule performance tracking processes and tools
- Manage change order and contract change processes, ensuring compliance and traceability
- Integrate project controls systems with financial, procurement, and reporting platforms
- Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for project KPIs (e.g., CPI, SPI, earned value)
- Support resource planning, utilization forecasting, and portfolio-level analysis
- Collaborate with project managers, finance, procurement, and executive leadership to align project performance with strategic goals
- Support continuous improvement in project controls methodologies and tools
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Global Capital Projects Governance and Assurance to ensure adherence to policies and best practices
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance project performance oversight
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 7–10 years of experience in project controls or project management within capital-intensive industries
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex capital projects or programs
- Strong understanding of project controls systems
- Experience with change management processes and contract administration
- Proficiency in data analytics and dashboard/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Certifications
- PMP® (Project Management Professional) – Project Management Institute
- CCP® (Certified Cost Professional) – AACE International
- EVMP® (Earned Value Management Professional) – PM College or equivalent
- PgMP® (Program Management Professional) – PMI (for enterprise-level program oversight)
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt – For process improvement and efficiency initiatives
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10% travel may be required, depending on project locations and phases
- Travel includes site visits, stakeholder meetings, and coordination with regional project teams
- Must be able to travel domestically and potentially internationally as needed
