Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-driven Customer Account Manager with strong 3PL logistics knowledge and proven carrier-side experience. This role will require you to support your account executive solve customer needs, find carriers for time-sensitive freight and manage daily operation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing daily operational support and ensuring exceptional service
- Manage end-to-end shipment execution including quoting, order entry, tendering, tracking, and issue resolution.
- Monitor load status and provide timely updates to customers, anticipating service disruptions and proactively offering solutions.
- Build strong relationships with customer contacts and identify opportunities to improve service performance.
- Analyze customer KPIs such as on-time performance, dwell times, tender acceptance, and provide reporting as needed.
Carrier Coordination
- Leverage carrier-side experience to negotiate rates, evaluate carrier capabilities, and select the best options for each shipment.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable coverage and service.
- Resolve carrier-related service issues such as delays, equipment problems, accessorials, and documentation needs.
- Support procurement or routing initiatives by identifying high-performing carriers and market-competitive pricing.
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, pricing, accounting) to ensure smooth execution of customer and carrier activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, SOPs, and industry regulations.
- Assist with onboarding new customer accounts and carriers, including system setup and process alignment.
- Use TMS platforms to manage orders, track shipments, upload documents, and maintain accurate data.
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in 3PL, brokerage, or transportation operations required.
- 1 years of carrier sales experience.
- 1 years in customer sales experience.
- Strong background working with or for carriers (dispatch, operations, coverage, or customer service).
- Solid understanding of full truckload, LTL, flatbed, reefer, intermodal or specialized equipment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage both customer expectations and carrier relationships.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with TMS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with both carrier sales and customer account management in a 3PL environment.
- Existing carrier network and/or customer book of business.
- Strong understanding of freight market trends and pricing strategy.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Base Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
