Job Summary
The Classroom Aide at St. Peter Catholic School supports the classroom teacher in creating a safe, organized, and faith-centered learning environment. The aide assists with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision while modeling Catholic values and contributing to the academic, social, and spiritual growth of all students.

Job Summary
The Classroom Aide at St. Peter Catholic School supports the classroom teacher in creating a safe, organized, and faith-centered learning environment. The aide assists with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision while modeling Catholic values and contributing to the academic, social, and spiritual growth of all students.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher with daily lessons, activities, and classroom routines
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce academic skills
- Provide support to students who need additional help or encouragement
- Prepare and organize instructional materials, classroom resources, and supplies
- Maintain a structured, positive, and orderly classroom environment
- Reinforce classroom rules, behavior expectations, and school policies
- Supervise students during instructional time, transitions, lunch, and recess to ensure safety
- Support student behavior and promote respect, responsibility, and cooperation
- Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, basic grading, and organizing materials
- Model Catholic values and support prayer, faith-based activities, and the mission of the school
- Communicate student needs or concerns to the classroom teacher
- Collaborate with school staff and participate in meetings or training as required
- High school diploma required; some college coursework in education preferred
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to supervise and interact effectively with students
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
