St. Vincent de Paul School in Federal Way is seeking a full-time music teacher for preschool-grade 8 for the 2026-27 school year. A degree in Music Education is preferred, but not essential. In addition to music instruction and preparing the students to sing at liturgies, the position includes the planning and direction of a Christmas program for K-8 and a Spring program for preschool-K.
Qualifications Include, But Are Not Limited To
Salary budget is $70,000, Range is $55,000-$85,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Qualifications Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Knowledge of both Catholic liturgical music as well as secular music
- Prior experience teaching music in an elementary setting
- Enthusiasm for music and for teaching
- Ability to instruct and inspire students in a confident manner managing behavior for a cohesive classroom environment.
- Eagerness to work in a highly dynamic, energetic school setting.
- A focus on performance, music theory, and music appreciation for students
- Communicating effectively with students, parents and colleagues
- Introducing different musical styles
- Planning and providing clear and intentional focused music and choral instruction
- Directing performances and leading music for class liturgies
- Instrument proficiency
