Job Summary
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early learning team! The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, cultivating a nurturing and faith-filled classroom environment, and supporting the social, emotional, academic, and spiritual growth of young learners. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and enthusiastic about collaborating with families and colleagues within a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities
This position is a 0.5 FTE and scheduled from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday through Thursday.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and enthusiastic about collaborating with families and colleagues within a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate and engaging curriculum for Pre-K students.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.
- Foster social-emotional development through intentional routines, positive reinforcement, and play-based learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress through observation, documentation, and ongoing communication with families.
- Partner with the Pre-K Instructional Assistant to support daily classroom routines and ensure student success.
- Lead age-appropriate activities in literacy, math, religion, art, music, movement, and outdoor play.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers through conferences, newsletters, and daily interactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to meet the needs of each child.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Follow Archdiocesan Safe Environment training requirements and Washington state childcare regulations for school staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an early childhood or primary setting preferred. Knowledge of child development and best practices in Pre-K education.
- Passion for Catholic education and supporting the spiritual development of young children.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
