St. Ignatius of Antioch School is accepting applications for a full-time MIDDLE SCHOOL teaching position beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher will have a homeroom with his/her main teaching assignment being 6th, 7th and 8th grade MATH. In addition, this position will be responsible for certain STEM classes. The teacher will plan and implement lessons based on the prescribed curriculum while helping students better understand and grow in their Catholic faith.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging and structured lessons to students, including the integration of technology in the classroom
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and supportive of our Catholic identity
- Lead daily homeroom activities, such as prayer and announcements, and serve as primary contact for students and families in the assigned homeroom
- Monitor students’ development, provide feedback to students and parents on a regular basis and issue report cards
- Collaborate with the team of middle school teachers, including planning inter-disciplinary projects where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with school policies and professional standards, and engage in professional growth opportunities
- Actively participate in faculty meetings and school events
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, the principal and co-workers
- Bachelors degree from accredited institution in education, or equivalent certification
- Updated clearances
- Teacher certification preferred
