Position Overview
The Associate Superintendent (or Director) of Early Childhood and Exceptional Learning is a key
leader within the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation, responsible for advancing
excellence in early childhood education and in supporting schools and specialized programs in
meeting the needs of all learners across the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This role ensures that all
learners are supported with dignity, excellence, and fidelity to the mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
Based at the Archdiocese of New Orleans Administrative Office with regular travel to schools.
Evening, weekend and overnight commitments required.

The Associate Superintendent (or Director) of Early Childhood and Exceptional Learning is a key
leader within the Department of Catholic Education and Faith Formation, responsible for advancing
excellence in early childhood education and in supporting schools and specialized programs in
meeting the needs of all learners across the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This role ensures that all
learners are supported with dignity, excellence, and fidelity to the mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a system-wide vision for early childhood and
- Ensure alignment with Archdiocesan standards, state regulations, and best practices
- Design and steward frameworks (e.g., MTSS) that promote coherence and excellence across
- Serve as a member of the academic team and provide consultation and professional development
- Support alignment of programs and practices with accreditation standards and National
- Lead development of and provide support to inclusive and specialized programs for students
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and archdiocesan policies
- Collaborate with parish and ministry leaders/offices to support inclusion and alignment
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in education with leadership in early childhood and/or special
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and inclusive education practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
