We have a great opportunity for you to use your administrative skills and love of the Catholic Church to serve in our Vicar for Clergy Office. We have a new Vicar for Clergy starting with us!
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Office of the Vicar for Clergy, organizing and maintaining the office and serving as a key point of contact for inquiries and visitors.
- Scheduling and calendar management, communication support, document preparation, and meeting and event preparation.
- Handling highly confidential information
- Develop procedures to meet all Vicar's needs in a timely way
- Ensures that the office space and equipment are operational and in order
- Keeps files and records current
- Serve as a resource for Clergy staff and related offices
- Manage Financial records and transactions
- Provide administrative assistance support to the Vicar for Senior Priest Office
- Manage financial records and transactions
- Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Assist with data entry and maintain databases.
- Order and manage office supplies and equipment.
- Support other team members with administrative tasks as needed
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
- Research information for the quarterly clergy newsletter
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
- Five years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a related role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent time management with the ability to remain calm and tactful
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
Compensation and Benefits:
The position is a full-time (40 hours per week) hourly position working in-person at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee provides a full scope of employment benefits, including medica, dental, vision, flextime, Catholic school tuition assistance for children of employees, 403b, and a pension program.
