Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to upholding and teaching Catholic doctrine.
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification, as required by the Archdiocese.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings, traditions, and Scripture.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for Catholic education and the ability to engage and inspire students in their faith journey.
- Teach middle school religion classes, integrating Catholic teachings, Scripture, Church history, and moral development.
- Inspire students to live out their faith through prayer, service, and active participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
- Plan and lead liturgical celebrations, prayer services, retreats, and service projects in collaboration with school and parish leadership.
- Create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and spiritual growth.
- Partner with parents, faculty, and parish staff to support students' faith formation.
- Serve as a role model of Catholic values in word and action.
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education by participating in school activities, professional development, and faith-based initiatives.
