St. Mary’s is seeking a highly experienced and mission-driven Director of Parish Accounting and
Compliance to lead and strengthen the parish’s financial and administrative systems.
This position supports the parish, Early Childhood Center, and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School by
providing professional oversight of accounting, payroll, budgeting, and compliance functions. As a
member of the parish leadership team, the Director ensures that all financial operations reflect
transparency, stewardship, and alignment with the parish mission and Archdiocesan guidelines. This role
also provides essential financial and administrative coordination for the parish’s Capital Campaign,
ensuring accurate pledge tracking, reporting, and collaboration with campaign consultants and parish
leadership.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with strategic insight, developing
financial policies, strengthening internal controls, and guiding sustainable systems that support the long-
term vitality of the parish.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all parish financial operations, ensuring accuracy,
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures to
- Lead payroll processing in ADP and ensure compliance with Archdiocesan and federal requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, deposits, and monthly bank reconciliations across parish, ECC,
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, budget forecasts, and annual reports to the Pastor,
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and compliance documentation including W-9s and 1099s.
- Oversee giving in ParishStaq, maintaining accurate donor records and encouraging consistent
- Provide key financial and administrative leadership for the parish’s Capital Campaign, ensuring
accurate pledge management, campaign reporting, and effective collaboration between the business
office, campaign consultants, and parish leadership.
- Partner with Business Manager to work with ministry leaders and the Finance Council to evaluate

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional accounting, finance, or compliance management experience,
- Advanced proficiency with ParishSoft, ParishStaq, ADP, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to
