Position: Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate elementary teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year in Birmingham, MI. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment centered in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and supporting the academic, spiritual, and social development of elementary students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards for elementary grade levels.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods and provide timely feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and address individual needs.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school events as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification/license for elementary education in the state of Michigan.
- Experience teaching elementary students preferred.
- Valid catechist certification or willingness to work on acquiring the certification in the first year of employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools.
