What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Religion Teacher position at Archdiocese of Detroit?
Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is seeking a full-time Middle School Religion Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Our Lady of Victory is a Preschool through 8th grade parish school located at 132 Orchard Drive, Northville, MI, and serves a co-ed population of over 500 students.
Applicants should be well versed in Catholicism, energetic, a team player, comfortable with the integration of technology and instruction and contain a strong desire to work in a faith-based community. Teachers at this school are expected to be proactive communicators, comfortable with the differentiation of instruction within the classroom and, overall, create a nurturing classroom environment.
Qualifications/Requirements
All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. Applicants should possess:

- Elementary (K-8) certification
- Must be Archdiocese of Detroit Catechist certified or willing to complete process
- Experience with Google apps including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings – previous Google Classroom experience helpful
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to both short and long-term plan
- Experience in using assessments and analyzing data to drive curriculum
- Creative and enthusiastic instruction
- Ability to work with multiple age groups within the same day and adapt instruction accordingly
- Protecting God's Children certificate
