- Grant Seeking: Conducts readiness assessments with assigned ministries and entities to evaluate capacity for grant funding, identifies and qualifies new funding opportunities, including assessing feasibility and executing cultivation strategies, and prepares compelling case statements for each ministry or entity opportunity to support grant applications and increase the likelihood of successful funding.
- Grant Research & Proposal Development: Drafts, edits, and submits proposals for assigned ministries and entities, preparing and gathering all necessary materials to support grant opportunities. Tracks proposal progress, reviews dispositions and lessons learned, and ensures proper follow-through on awards, including contract execution and accounting or bank processes.
- Grant Revenue: Maintains consistent funding levels from existing Grantmakers while cultivating new grant opportunities from additional funders. Contributes to overall Grants team revenue goals and achieves individual revenue targets.
- Grant Management & Administration: Manages all awarded grants from initiation to closeout using the Grants Management Handbook, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Submits high-quality, error-free interim and final reports, maintains accurate records and tracks deadlines for required retention periods, and updates all necessary grant information in Instrumental and Raiser’s Edge.
- Collaboration & Stewardship: Collaborates with ministry and program leaders, accounting, and mission advancement stakeholders to support grant processes. Upholds the Archdiocese’s mission, values, and ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating respect for all individuals. Acts as a good steward of human, financial, and capital resources, communicates effectively, contributes to teamwork, and participates in staff training and programs as required.

- Understand and align with the values and mission of the Catholic Church; possess a willingness to work from this faithful perspective
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field; Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- 3 years preferred work experience in grant seeking, writing, revenue, grant management and administration, and project management or related experience in other fields.
- Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication, project management, and change management skills, with superior grant management and administration abilities; creative, detail-oriented, and persistent.
- Professional and business-like demeanor.
- Able to interact effectively with ministry, parish, school, and Archdiocesan personnel while recognizing and maintaining strict confidentiality.
