SUMMARY: The parish of Holy Family Rockland is seeking a full time Business Manager to use his or her faith, and organizational, financial, and interpersonal skills to manage day-to day operations for the offices for our parishes, assisting the Pastor with the stewardship of the physical, financial and personnel resources of the parishes. The candidates need to be fluent in English and have some knowledge of the Portuguese language. This is an in-person position at the parish office in Rockland.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Management
- Prepares annual reports, interim reports, and other miscellaneous reports.
- Handles bank relations to include management of accounts and problem solving.
- Manages bookkeeping functions including, but not limited to, payables and receivables and all other revenue and expenses of the two parishes.
- Reconciles monthly bank statements in a timely manner.
- Staff liaison to Parish Finance Councils.
- Oversees the management of parishes' operational and financial records.
- Manages payment of salaries and benefits.

- Some additional operational and human resources responsibilities may accompany this position depending on the parish.
- Attend meetings relative to the role, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in business, accounting, or related field with 7 years related experience or equivalent preferred. Must be proficient in the Intacct accounting program.
- 3-5 yrs. supervisory/management experience required.
- Understand and support the mission of the Catholic Church and its effort
- Experience handling confidential, sensitive matters with tact, respect, and discretion required
- Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting, QuickBooks, or lntacct experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about safety and security and human resources issues preferred
- Demonstrated experience in appropriate computer technology skills; must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Experience administering payroll is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A strong service orientation is critical.
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:
- Ability to use a computer keyboard for up to 8 hours/day.
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
