What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMERGENCY DEPT TECHNICIAN position at Archbold Medical Center?
Emergency Department Technician Description: Stock blanket warmers and patient treatment rooms with appropriate linens. Fill oxygen tanks. Maintain IV pumps. Return patient trays to Nutrition Services. Check and log refrigerator temperatures. Complete patient assessments by collecting data to include but not limited to: weight, temperature, pain, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation. Prepare patients for procedures and provide assistance to the nurse/physician during procedures. Document actions/observations on ED chart. Qualifications/Experience: Must have high school diploma or GED. Requires certification in Basic Life Support. Medical experience preferred. Knowledge and experience of taking vital signs preferred.
