AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/1/2026
Archbishop Williams High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory, Grade 7-12 school in Braintree is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven teacher of Theater Arts for the 2026-2027 school year. This person will also become the co-director of the school's Drama Program, which over the past decade has emerged as a leading program on the South Shore of Boston. From a teaching assignment perspective, the role will be sections of Theater Arts and Technical Theater along with overseeing a Theater Internship that is meant to support the Drama Program along with one section of Grade 7 & 8 Arts (an exploratory course that can be focused on Music and Theater). The teaching load is reduced in order to include co-direction of the Drama Program as part of the positions responsibilities. The hope with the role is this person can take our Drama Program to the next level diversifying offerings as well as attract more students to take elective courses in theater. Our immediate hope is that this person can help create a play for our Grade 7 & 8 (or Grades 7-9). This is an incredible opportunity to work with a well-resourced program that has been a priority of the Administration, to include a recent $1.7 million renovation of the school's 800-seat Auditorium. The past few shows have seen over 60 students come out for cast and crew roles and it receives tremendous support from the community, filling up the Auditorium for the productions. AWHS offers competitive salary along with a generous benefits package that includes health care, dental, 403(b) contribution, food credit in the Cafeteria, tuition remission, and opportunity for annual bonuses.
