The Business Development Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare referral sources to drive client referrals and business growth. This role serves as the primary link between referral partners and internal care coordination teams, ensuring a smooth referral process and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare or home care, understands referral workflows, and excels at relationship-building, strategic outreach, and community engagement.
Referral & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and community organizations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned referral partners
- Provide regular updates to referral sources on client status and service outcomes
Business Development & Outreach
- Identify, pursue, and develop new referral opportunities to support census and revenue growth
- Conduct in-person and virtual outreach visits to healthcare facilities and community partners
- Represent the agency at networking events, healthcare meetings, and community activities
Internal Collaboration
- Act as a communication bridge between referral partners and internal teams, including intake, nursing, caregiving, scheduling, and marketing
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to align outreach strategies with agency growth goals
Market Research & Strategy
- Research market trends, competitor services, and referral patterns within the home care industry
- Contribute to business development plans, outreach campaigns, and growth initiatives
Reporting & Compliance
- Track outreach activities, referral volume, and conversion metrics
- Prepare reports for leadership and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure all outreach activities comply with healthcare regulations and company policies
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or referral marketing within home care or healthcare
- Strong understanding of home care services, referral workflows, and compliance standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities

- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
