Position Summary:
The Bid Safety Liaison is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
throughout the Midtown Business Improvement District. This role involves regular patrols along
the Anaheim corridor, engaging business and property owners, and serving as a visible safety
presence. The Bid Safety Liaison will assist with deterring unwanted activity, supports
businesses with public safety concerns, and coordinates with local law enforcement and outreach
services when necessary and will report to the bid’s Community Liaison.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular foot and/or bicycle patrols throughout the BIDs corridor to ensure a
visible and reassuring security presence.
• Build positive working relationships with business owners, property owners/managers,
employees, residents, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to calls for service or reports of safety concerns from businesses or the
public.
• Engage respectfully with all community members, including individuals experiencing
homelessness, while encouraging compliance with local ordinances and property rules.
• Work collaboratively with outreach teams, city services, and law enforcement to address
quality-of-life issues in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Observe, document, and report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity using established
communication and reporting tools.
• Provide information, directions, and general assistance to visitors to enhance the overall
experience within the BID.
• Support BID events and initiatives by maintaining safety and order during special
activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of district boundaries, businesses, and emergency
procedures.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Prior experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, or a related field strongly
preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact calmly and
professionally with diverse populations.
• Strong observation, reporting, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in various
weather conditions.
• Valid security guard license.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Working Conditions:
