Summary of Position
The Project Manager oversees the complete lifecycle of commercial solar construction projects, leading teams, managing budgets, schedules, and quality control, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
2. Provide weekly(if applicable) communication with customers throughout their project.
3. Oversee all phases of construction, from site preparation to project closeout.
4. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
5. Lead and mentor assistant project managers and project managers (both construction and pre-construction)
6. Lead and mentor project teams, including construction managers, leads, supervisors, and field personnel.
7. Delegate tasks effectively and manage team dynamics to achieve project goals.
8. Foster a culture of safety compliance on job sites.
9. Manage change orders and contract modifications, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
10. Implement quality control procedures to ensure projects meet specifications and industry standards.
11. Identify and proactively manage project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
12. Monitor project progress against established timelines and proactively address potential delays.
13. Develop and prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments.
14. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Education:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
Experience and/or training:
· Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and superior problem-solving skills, required
· Highly motivated with the ability to work amongst a team, and independently, required
· Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, required
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, required
· Expert knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations, required
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and client relationships, required
· Experience/knowledge in state and local permitting requirements, required
· Experience navigating local inspectors and utility requirements, required
Licenses/Certificates:
· Valid Driver’s license with good driving record and proof of insurance, required
· Licensed Journeyman Electrician, preferred
· OSHA 30 Certified, required
· Drone Pilots License, preferred
Technology/Equipment:
· Experience as an Electrical or DC Racking foreman on a PV Install over 200KW, preferred
· QC/QA Work on a PV Install over 200KW, preferred
· Proficient in interpreting engineering software (i.e. AutoCAD or Bluebeam), preferred
· Knowledge of Fall Protection and rooftop safety, required

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
