What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Client Services position at ARC Wealth Management?
The Client Service Director is the day-to-day voice of ARC and, working alongside our Senior Client Service Director, a hands-on owner of the client experience. Most of your day is spent with clients: answering questions, moving money, resolving alerts and closing loops. The rest is spent making sure the system behind those conversations works, so that the next client gets an even better experience than the last.
Daily client service (roughly 70% of your time)
• Be the first and most frequent point of contact for ARC clients by phone, email and secure message; respond the same business day, every time.
• Process money movement accurately and safely: ACH and wire requests, journals, distributions, systematic withdrawals, required minimum distributions, rollovers, ACATS transfers and check deposits.
• Authenticate every request. Verbally confirm instructions with the client before releasing funds, and treat every email request to move money as a potential fraud attempt until verified.
• Review and act on daily account alerts: cash shortfalls, margin and funds-due items, unsettled trades, NIGO paperwork, maturing bonds and CDs, low cash for scheduled distributions, and address or beneficiary changes.
• Open and maintain accounts: new account paperwork, beneficiary and TOD updates, trusted contacts, estate settlements, and keeping KYC information current.
• Enter unsolicited orders and support trade implementation at the advisor's direction, within your licensing.
• Answer non-advice questions on balances, positions, statements, tax documents and cost basis; know when to hand a question to an advisor.
• Help clients use Raymond James digital tools: online access, e-delivery, e-signature and mobile.
Owning the client experience (roughly 30% of your time)
• Help run and improve ARC's service model with the Senior Client Service Director: response standards, call and meeting cadence by client tier, and what every client should hear from us each year without having to ask.
• Prepare advisors for every client meeting: agenda, open items, account changes, upcoming RMDs or cash needs, and a one-page brief. Capture and complete follow-ups afterward.
• Run onboarding for new clients, including families joining ARC through practices we bring into the firm. The goal: every new client feels known within 90 days.
• Keep the CRM complete and current: every call, request and life event logged so nothing depends on one person's memory.
• Build the calendar of proactive touches: RMD season, year-end tax planning, birthdays and milestones, and annual review scheduling.
• Track service quality and report on it monthly. Find the friction and fix the process behind it.
• Maintain service procedures and compliance hygiene in partnership with Raymond James: documented money-movement controls, books-and-records, and audit readiness.
• As ARC grows, help train new client service staff.

ARC Wealth Management is an independent, Raymond James-affiliated wealth management practice in Salt Lake City, overseeing roughly $600 million for families and individuals. We are a small partnership by design: every client should know us, and we should know them.
Our work starts with planning, not products. We help clients understand what drives them and how they want money to shape their lives; the portfolio follows from that. On the investment side, we run a long-duration, quality-compounder philosophy in the tradition of Buffett, Munger and Nick Sleep: own fewer, better businesses and let time do the work.
We are growing. ARC is actively bringing like-minded advisors and practices into the firm, which means new client families arriving who need to feel at home from the first day.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
