POSITION SUMMARY

The Skier Services Attendant supports the daily winter operation of Skier Services by providing member and guest service across Member Lockers, Guest Lockers, Ski Check, equipment storage, and related skier-service functions. Skier Services Attendants are expected to help keep the department organized, responsive, and member-ready throughout the operating day and to be cross-trained and capable of supporting the full Skier Services operation.

This is a hands-on, member-facing position requiring strong attention to detail, professionalism, teamwork, and care when handling member and guest equipment and personal belongings.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Operations

  • Supports daily operations across Member Lockers, Guest Lockers, Ski Check, equipment storage, and related member services.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and member-ready operational areas.
  • Supports opening and closing procedures.
  • Completes assigned daily tasks and communicate unfinished or unusual items clearly.
  • Moves between operational areas based on volume, member needs, and leadership direction.
  • Identifies operational issues early and communicate them promptly.

Member & Guest Experience

  • Ensures all member and guest interactions reflect WPR’s elevated service standards.
  • Greets and assists members and guests professionally and proactively.
  • Provides clear and accurate information regarding Skier Services operations.
  • Steps into service needs when appropriate to preserve member experience.
  • Escalates member concerns or unusual requests appropriately.
  • Maintains a hospitality-first approach while following department policies and procedures.
  • Takes ownership of member requests and ensure appropriate follow-through.

Locker Operations

  • Supports Member Locker, Rental Locker, Guest Day Locker, and overnight guest-storage operations.
  • Assists members and guests with locker access and basic locker questions.
  • Supports DigiLock access and basic troubleshooting once trained.
  • Maintains clean, organized, safe, and professional locker areas.
  • Follows established locker-use and storage procedures.
  • Communicates access, maintenance, policy, or facility issues to a leadership.
  • Follows established procedures for items left behind or stored improperly.

Ski Check & Equipment Storage

  • Receives, stores, retrieves, stages, and returns skis, snowboards, poles, and related equipment.
  • Accurately identifies and store member and guest equipment.
  • Maintains organized Ski Check and equipment-storage areas.
  • Handles member and guest equipment carefully and professionally.
  • Supports efficient equipment retrieval during arrival and departure periods.
  • Immediately reports missing, misplaced, damaged, or unidentified equipment.
  • Follows established procedures for overnight and long-term equipment storage.
  • Assists with equipment staging and member requests as directed.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Works cooperatively with Skier Services Attendants, Supervisors, and department leadership.
  • Communicates member requests, equipment issues, and operational needs clearly.
  • Supports teammates during high-volume periods.
  • Participates in preseason and in-season training.
  • Develops proficiency across all assigned Skier Services areas.
  • Maintains clear communication when handing off member requests or equipment.
  • Responds positively to coaching and direction.

Systems, Safety & Standards

  • Supports proper use of department systems, including DigiLock, radios, asset tracking systems, and related operational tools.
  • Maintains accurate equipment and locker information as required.
  • Follows safety standards and equipment handling expectations.
  • Follows department SOPs, WPR policies, and service standards.
  • Maintains safe and organized member-facing and back-of-house areas.
  • Reports facility, equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior ski, outdoor, resort, club, hospitality, guest services, recreation, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and department presentation.
  • Comfortable working hands-on across multiple areas of the operation.
  • Ski and snowboard equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to learn locker systems, equipment-storage procedures, and related operational technology.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume periods.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, carrying, organizing, and equipment handling.
  • Ability to work in a winter resort environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak winter periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Premium private club and winter resort environment, indoors and outdoors.
  • Combination of Member Locker areas, Guest Locker areas, Ski Check, equipment-storage areas, and back-of-house support.
  • Frequent interaction with members, guests, team members, and other departments.
  • High-volume periods during weekends, holidays, and peak ski season.
