Part Time Janitor

Arc Human Services is hiring a Part Time Janitor in the Bridgeville Area! This position is an Part Time, 24-30 hours per week. Monday through Friday.

Summary:
This position reports directly to the Janitorial Supervisor; works directly with individuals employed by Arc as well as individuals who are referred by an outside agency for janitorial training purposes. This position may work directly with the Community Based Specialist pertaining to serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in our employment-training program.  This position has the overall responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals who are working in the janitorial program. This position may be responsible for working with individuals with disabilities who work in the program and ensuring that all janitorial contracts are met as outlined in the duties to be performed section. This position is also responsible for reporting all necessary repairs or unsafe conditions to clients who are receiving janitorial services. This position requires the understanding and following of agency policies and procedures. Schedule changes are at the discretion of the Janitorial Supervisor. The Janitorial Laborer will act as ambassadors for the agency’s mission and values by demonstrating and maintaining a positive attitude, in both the workplace and the community, regarding the quality of services provided by our agency.

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past three years and proof of automobile insurance.  Child Abuse and Criminal Clearances, FBI check, completed physical with a T.B. Mantoux Test
• High School Diploma and preferably 3 years of experience cleaning or in the janitorial sector. 
• Experience working with individuals who have an intellectual or developmental disability is a plus.
• Must have good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
