Arc GLOW - Compliance Coordinator
This position is primarily responsible for conducting internal audits for the compliance program. This will include providing support in needed areas under the direction of the Corporate Compliance Officer.
Essential Functions:
- Incorporate the agency’s mission and vision in the performance of all job duties
- Respect right to privacy by ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines and agency policies
- Participates in corporate compliance and quality assurance activities as required
- Responsible for Compliance functions in the absence of the Corporate Compliance Officer.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with all staff, oversight agencies, and the community at large
- Attend meetings and training as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Compliance
- Perform the role of QIDP when appropriate
Essential Functions - Compliance:
- Maintain awareness of current regulations
- Work cooperatively with agency personnel effected by regulatory changes to ensure compliance and communication of same
- Provides regulatory guidance and support to program staff under the direction of the Vice President of Compliance
- Assist in developing and monitoring quality standards, systems and processes to all aspects of the programs.
- Conducts internal audits as assigned by VP of Compliance
- Monitors billing standards as assigned by VP of Compliance
Non-Essential Functions:
- Participate in Agency Committees.
- Participate in Agency events.
Reporting Responsibilities: Vice President of Compliance
Supervisory Responsibilities: None exercised
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of OPWDD systems and regulatory requirements
- Must completeinvestigation training successfully
- Strong computer skills with experience with presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good math and reading abilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate and network
- Must be a positive role model and possess both leadership and supervisory/interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use standard office equipment including personal computer, phone, fax, copier, etc.
- Ability to speak and listen
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, climb, push and pull
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are generally normal for an office environment.
- Will be required to travel to offsite locations.
- Occasional work in a warehouse environment, which may include dirty, musty, hot or cold conditions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field of study and 1-year experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. (must be QIDP eligible)
- Valid NYS drivers license with a safe driving record per agency policy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,500.00 per year
