Job Description:

TheTree Trimmer position represents an advanced role within our tree maintenance and line clearance team, with greater responsibilities in tree climbing, rope rigging, and equipment operation. This role is suited for individuals with advanced line clearance skills and a high level of certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor for a full workday.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other tree maintenance equipment.
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Set up job sites and provide traffic control as needed.
• Set up rigging and tie advanced knots and hitches for climbing and rigging tasks.
• Inspect ropes, climbing saddle, flip line, and all life support hardware before ascending.
• Communicate with customers and complete post-work inspections.
• Participate in training programs and perform pre-climb tree inspections.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 12 months of line clearance experience.
• Certifications: Line Clearance Qualified Arborist.
• Skills: Proficiency in all Groundperson tasks; progress in the Line Clearance Qualification Program (LCQP) booklet, including Climber and Bucket sections.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Documented 12 months of Line Clearance Trimmer experience (climb/bucket).
  • Successfully pass a skills assessment for advancement.
  • Completed and signed Groundperson Training.
  • Completed annual Aerial Rescue Training.
  • LCCP test completed.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (within 90 days of hire).
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Completed Introduction to Climbing and Tree Feller Training.

Travel Requirements:

• Expected travel up to 80%, including travel to remote locations as required.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor duties in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a field environment with some shift work as needed.
