Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Oakhurst shop. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment and diesel-powered vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform heavy-duty equipment repair and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines
- Diagnose and repair DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
- Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Conduct DOT annual inspections in compliance with regulations
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of heavy-duty or diesel mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic skills in diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and DEF systems
- Ability to perform DOT annual inspections
- Must provide and maintain own basic tools
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant mechanic or diesel certifications preferred
Tools & Equipment
- Technician must supply personal tools
- Employer provides special service tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage of $40–$50, based on experience
- Stable shop-based work at the Oakhurst location
