Arbors Management Inc. has an opening for a Building Maintenance Technician at two smaller Senior & Disabled independent living buildings (52 units total) located on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time position will allow you to use your skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall and grounds-keeping. Pay for the Building Maintenance Technician is $24 - $26 per hour. Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position will require on-call time for after hours emergencies. The on-call is shared with the other maintenance staff.

Successful outcomes of the Building Maintenance Technician will include:
- Ensuring apartment turnovers are completed within 5 working days on average
- Completing work orders within 1 week of receipt on average (handling emergency work orders ASAP)
- Maintaining the cleanliness of all grounds and common areas including windows, floors, restroom, sidewalks, grass and other areas as needed
- Maintaining adequate inventory for common repairs and keeping the maintenance shop neat and organized
- Foster positive relationships with all outside vendors and contractors
- Communicate regularly with Property Managers and the Director of Maintenance
Skills needed to to be successful as the Building Maintenance Technician include:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the areas of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.
- Ability to handle trash removal and custodial duties
- Grounds keeping including grass and snow removal
- Ability to utilize mobile device and laptop to complete daily tasks
- Solid communication skills to interact with Arbors team and with building tenants
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience working in a building maintenance position
- Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, stoop, crawl and/or climb for the duration of an 8-hour shift
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background screen
- Must have valid drivers license, insurance and personal vehicle
- GREAT attitude and willingness to learn
