What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager – Landscape Maintenance position at ArborNote?
Hybrid role - must be based in Southern California
Salary Range: $120 - $145K
ArborNote is a leading vertical SaaS company serving professional commercial tree care and landscape operations. Our platform helps field teams operate more efficiently, increase sales, and run more profitable businesses through structured property data, professional proposals, and practical, field-ready workflows.
We are recognized as a leader in applying geospatial technology to the Green Industry — helping contractors visualize properties, organize assets, and turn field observations into structured, revenue-generating systems.
With a significant base of Commercial Landscape Maintenance customers already using ArborNote, we are expanding our product offering to better serve this segment.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to help lead that next phase.
Commercial Landscape Maintenance is a large and operationally complex industry. Beyond recurring contracts, there is a meaningful opportunity to drive additional revenue at the property level.
ArborNote is building focused, high-impact workflows that help landscape account managers identify opportunities, generate professional proposals, and drive measurable revenue growth.
Our product is already in the market and in active use. This role is about refining, scaling, and strengthening that product — with clear scope and disciplined execution.
As Product Manager for Landscape Maintenance, you will help define and drive the roadmap for this strategic product area.
You will work closely with leadership, engineering, and customers to translate real-world contractor workflows into clear, scalable software solutions.
Success in this role is measured by:
- Customer adoption and retention
- Revenue expansion within existing accounts
- Measurable business impact for contractors
- Clear product-market alignment
This is not a feature-factory role. It is an ownership role.
- Contribute to roadmap development and prioritization
- Translate company strategy into clear, actionable product plans
- Balance execution speed with long-term product clarity
- Improve tools that help contractors identify, estimate, and propose additional services
- Strengthen proposal workflows and client-facing outputs
- Enhance property-level visibility and decision-making tools
- Conduct customer interviews and workflow discovery
- Develop strong understanding of contractor operations
- Translate field realities into intuitive product experiences
- Write clear, developer-ready product specifications
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design
- Define KPIs and measure impact post-launch
- Maintain focused scope aligned to strategic priorities
- 2–4 years of Product Management experience in SaaS
- Experience in field-service, contractor, construction, or operational software preferred
- Landscape industry experience preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of recurring revenue models
- Proven ability to ship features tied to measurable business outcomes
- Structured thinker who can simplify complex workflows
- Comfortable operating in a focused, founder-led environment
You are curious, analytical, and motivated by building products that create real business impact. You prefer ownership over hierarchy and impact over process.
- Established vertical SaaS company with strong Green Industry credibility
- High overlap between tree care and landscape maintenance customers
- Product already in market and gaining traction
- Opportunity to help shape and scale a focused product category
- Bright team, high ownership, real influence
We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) plan with company matching
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Paid sick leave
Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
