Concrete/Masonry Finisher Foreman

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete/Masonry Finisher Foreman to lead and supervise our concrete and masonry finishing crews on diverse construction projects. The Concrete/Masonry Finisher Foreman leads and coordinates a field crew performing concrete flatwork and masonry finishing on job sites. This role is hands-on, splitting time between performing skilled finishing work and directing crew members to ensure jobs are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. The Foreman serves as the primary point of accountability on site for workmanship, safety compliance, and daily production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the concrete/masonry finishing crew on assigned job sites, including task assignment and work sequencing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and grade stakes to determine forming, pour, and finish requirements.
• Perform and oversee concrete finishing operations, including screeding, floating, troweling, edging, jointing, and curing.
• Perform and oversee masonry finishing and repair work, including pointing, tuckpointing, parging, and surface patching.
• Direct crew in form setting, rebar/mesh placement, and pour sequencing; verify grade and forms prior to pour.
• Confirm mix design, slump, and curing procedures conform to project specifications; reject non-conforming loads.
• Inspect completed work for quality, texture, and finish consistency; correct deficiencies before client walkthrough or final sign-off.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper finishing techniques, tool use, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Coordinate material deliveries (ready-mix concrete, mortar, aggregate) and equipment needs with dispatch/scheduling.
• Complete and submit daily job logs, crew time records, and material usage reports.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols, including PPE compliance, silica dust controls, and safe equipment operation.
• Communicate job progress, delays, safety concerns, and personnel issues to the COO in a timely manner.
• Operate and oversee proper use of power trowels, cutoff saws, compactors, mixers, and related hand and power tools.
• Ensure the job site is left clean, secured, and organized at the completion of each shift.
• Lead or participate in pre-job safety meetings and document crew attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete and/or masonry finishing, including at least 2 years in a lead or foreman capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, mix ratios, and curing methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project specifications.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus if operating company vehicles hauling equipment or materials.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and basic written reporting skills.

Pay: $37.00 - $41.00 per hour
