Position Summary
The Part-Time Leasing Agent serves as the community's primary sales and customer service representative during scheduled hours. This position is responsible for driving occupancy by delivering an exceptional customer experience, converting qualified prospects into residents, supporting resident retention, and representing Arbor Property Management with professionalism and integrity while complying with Fair Housing requirements and company policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Leasing Excellence
- Manage the leasing process from first inquiry through move-in using a consultative sales approach.
- Respond promptly to telephone, online, and walk-in inquiries.
- Conduct professional apartment and community tours.
- Maintain accurate guest cards, CRM activities, applications, and lease documentation.
- Support community leasing and occupancy goals through consistent follow-up.
Customer Experience & Resident Relations
- Deliver exceptional service to prospects, residents, and guests.
- Complete move-in orientations and support resident retention.
- Coordinate resident concerns with management and maintenance.
- Maintain professional communication throughout the resident experience.
Marketing & Business Development
- Support outreach marketing, referral programs, and community events.
- Maintain accurate online listings and marketing materials.
- Provide market feedback and competitor information to management.
Administrative & Compliance
- Process applications, lease documents, renewals, and resident files accurately.
- Maintain records within the property management software and CRM.
- Accept rental payments according to company policy.
- Comply with Fair Housing requirements and company policies.
Property Presentation & Team Collaboration
- Inspect models, amenities, and market-ready apartments.
- Report maintenance and curb appeal concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the management and maintenance teams.

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- One year of leasing, sales, hospitality, customer service, or related experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong sales, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport and professionally close leases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software; AppFolio experience preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Walk the community and climb stairs while touring prospects.
- Operate standard office equipment and computer systems.
- Occasional outdoor work during marketing activities and community events.
