Direct Support Professional – Haverhill, MA

Arbor Associates is hiring dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support a Homeless Shelter in Haverhill. This is steady, Monday–Friday work on the 2pm–10pm shift—ideal for someone who wants consistency and a meaningful path forward in human services.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support individuals facing homelessness by maintaining a safe, respectful environment and providing direct care to those with behavioral, mental health, or complex support needs. Strong de-escalation skills and a calm, steady presence are essential—you’ll often be the person who helps diffuse tense moments and guide individuals back to safety and stability.
This role also includes light security responsibilities, such as monitoring the space for safety and providing essential supplies—blankets, toothbrushes, food, and other basic needs—throughout your shift.

- Minimum 6 months of experience in Direct Care or Human Services, or in roles like CNA, Residential Counselor, HHA, Mental Health Worker, Caregiver, PCA, or similar.
- A valid driver's license is required
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as the role requires.
