Job Title: Technical Assistance (TA) Professional

Reports To: Director of Community Connections

Salary: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 Annually

Work Status: Full-Time

Pay Type: Salaried, Exempt

Required: Reliable Transportation up to 90% of position duties


Position Summary: An ACECC Technical Assistance (TA) Professional works to deliver mentoring, coaching, consultation, and peer-to-peer TA. The TA Professional is responsive to providers interested in elevating their program's expertise to a higher level.

The ACECC TA Professional is responsible for lending support to preschool/childcare administrators, business owners/directors, and family childcare home-based providers/center-based classroom teachers.


SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Quality Standards Specialist:

  • Serve as the consultant for identified centers.
  • Support providers in developing and implementing improvement plans based on SMARTE Goals.
  • Encourage educators to increase their mastery of skills by supporting developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Facilitate provider training sessions as needed.
  • Provide referral resources for program staff to support families of children with potential emotional, behavioral, mental health, and developmental concerns.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and provide support for Colorado Shines QRIS and the Professional Development Information System (PDIS).
  • Maintain a valid Colorado State Coaching Credential and a Level 3 (or higher) Early Childhood Professional Credential.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with providers, including owners, directors, and teachers.

 

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a team member and individually as necessary
  • Solid computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Organize and prioritize workload
  • Work with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends
  • Maintain a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records.
  • Support the Council’s mission and vision by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect for others, commitment, accountability and ownership.
  • Complete weekly CHATS to email to the Executive Director.

CHARACTERISTICS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the early intervention system’s operations and infrastructure
  • Presentation skills related to early childhood content.

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent data collection, evaluation and analysis skills
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and independently work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse audiences.

 

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience with Environment Rating Scales and Quality Assessments with Programs (such as ITERS, ECERS or FCCERS and/or understanding through formal education or verified work experience in National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or closely related educational field with core hours in ECE coursework. 2 years’ experience as a CSQI coach, school administrator or principal of a child development center or an early childhood director.
  • Ability to work in all early childhood care and educational settings across Arapahoe County
  • Knowledge and experience working with Colorado Shines, Colorado's Early Learning & Development Guidelines, Colorado Early Childhood Special Education
  • Comfort, ability, and understanding of the critical need to work evenings and weekends.



Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Administration, Leadership, and Policy Studies. 
  • Colorado Coaching Credential 
  • Instructor in topics, curriculums: Touchpoints, Trauma Responsive Care, Creative Curriculum, Pyramid, Expanding Quality in Infant and Toddler Care (EQIT)
  • Experience supporting other coaches formally and informally. 

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
