Description
OPEN UNTIL FILLED
PAY GROUP: Hourly, Seasonal FLSA: Non-exempt
Summary Of Position
Responsible for performing shopwork, maintaining ground equipment, and performing night sprays to control/eliminate mosquitos.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Drive assigned spray routes; Operate sprayer;
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, motors, and pumps; and
Use high pressure wash to remove chemical residue from equipment
Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of: mosquito and pest control procedures and techniques; and area geography.
Skills/Ability to: safely handle hazardous chemicals; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other county employees and the general public; tolerate outside working conditions including exposure to adverse weather conditions; and maintain appropriate necessary certifications, possess valid Texas driver's license applicable to job responsibilities and good driving record.
Acceptable Experience And Training
High school graduation, or its equivalent; or sufficient education to read and write, plus at least one year of related experience;
or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Certificates And Licenses Required
Appropriate Texas driver's license.
