We’re looking for energetic and detail-oriented Food Runners/Expos to ensure dishes are delivered quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented to our guests. This role is a vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, helping us maintain the high service standards our guests expect.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring correct presentation
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to coordinate orders
- Assist with garnishing or final plating touches before food leaves the kitchen
- Confirm that orders are complete and meet quality standards before delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo and service areas
- Assist servers with refilling beverages, bread service, and clearing plates as needed
- Provide quick responses to guest requests or questions via the server team
- Support the overall flow of service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Previous food runner or restaurant experience preferred, but not required — training provided
- Flexible availability for lunch and dinner shifts (weekends a plus)
- Bilingual Japanese/English a plus — passing a linguist test may result in higher pay
