Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Commerce, CA, for a Senior Purchasing Manager. The Senior Purchasing Manager will oversee and manage procurement strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure the timely sourcing of quality products from global markets. Responsibilities include managing team members in domestic and international offices, monitoring inventory levels, budget management, evaluating supplier performance, and analyzing purchasing trends to optimize costs. Additionally, the role involves fostering strong vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Excellent organizational and management skills required.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage and multi-task in a high paced environment within the US and remote offices
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a supply chain or procurement role
- Comprehensive knowledge of vendor management, procurement strategy execution, international and domestic logistics, and inventory control
- Excellent negotiation, budgeting, and cost analysis skills
- Strong planning and organizational abilities to assess market trends and optimize sourcing
- Experience within the retail, import/export, or consumer goods sectors is preferred
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or purchasing software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; certifications in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPM, CSCP) are a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
