Description

Our integrated service offerings include: antibody discovery, recombinant protein production and purification, stable cell line development, upstream and downstream process development, protein characterization/analytics, in-vivo animal models, and ex vivo and in vitro assays.
In this role the Temporary lab/facilities technician will be responsible for the day to day operations:
• Preparation of glassware and plasticware for use
• Operation of the labware washer and autoclave
• Receiving
• Hazardous waste collection and proper placement in designated areas
• Logging of temperatures and liquid levels
• Various lab upkeep duties
Coordinate Waste Pickup Vendor and provide list of materials to be picked up
Coordinate Gas Vendors to order gas’s so they are on hand when needed
Be available for Emergency Response situations
Keep in contact with lab staff for upcoming project requirements
Work with janitors and forward supplies request to purchasing dept
The lab/facilities technician may need to assist in preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on the following equipment
• HVAC, Vacuum Pumps and Compressors, Gas/Liquid systems - CO2, O2, LN2, N, Refrigerators and Freezers, Incubators, Various analytical equipment, Lighting, Plumbing.
Requirements
Qualification Requirements
• High school diploma
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs (Pushing, Pulling, Lifting)
• Previous work in a lab setting is a (Plus)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Skilled in hands on mechanical, plumbing, and general building repairs
• Must be able and willing to carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
