Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. This position requires proficiency in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will ensure that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30pm
Monday - Friday
Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using AS400 or similar inventory management systems.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Organize stock within the warehouse for easy access and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate order processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
