Purpose of the Role

The Fine Gardening Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality fine gardening work, supporting the daily success of the crew, and helping ensure every property is cared for safely, neatly, and to company standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the skilled field work required for the fine gardening service line
• Complete assigned tasks in alignment with Crew Leader direction, scope, and quality standards
• Perform core fine gardening work including weeding, pruning, trimming, transplanting, planting, garden cleanup, and ongoing bed care
• Maintain bed presentation, including mulch touch-ups and washout corrections as assigned
• Keep patios, walkways, outdoor living areas, and surrounding hardscape surfaces clean and free of debris as part of overall property presentation
• Support seasonal priorities including spring cleanup, mulching, annual installs, fall bulb planting, and seasonal cutbacks
• Assist with specialty tasks such as plant watering, fertilization, vegetable garden care, and identifying pest or disease concerns when needed
• Use tools and equipment properly and help keep them clean, organized, and in good condition
• Represent Aquidneck Landworks professionally on every property

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or fine gardening work
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Working knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and ornamental trees, including their characteristics, growth habits, and maintenance needs
• Ability to identify potential or existing garden issues, make sound recommendations, and apply proper gardening techniques
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to follow direction, work independently, and contribute as part of a team
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow safe working procedures
• Basic measurement and calculation skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
• Cell phone with internet access for time tracking and communication
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Appropriate working attire for field conditions

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
