What You’ll Do
- Deliver operational processes for data security, specifically related to Database Activity Monitoring.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to information security risks, including policy violations and threats to databases.
- Support security operations, risk management, and engineering teams to mature the data protection program.
- Continuously learn, solve complex problems, and contribute to the team’s advancement in data security.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed documentation.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
- Experience effectively communicating complex security concepts to business teams.
- A strong passion for designing and implementing solutions to automate manual processes.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 years of security experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Data Protection concepts, including Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data at Rest versus Data in Motion, and Unstructured versus Structured data.
- A solid understanding of information security best practices and technologies.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and/or PowerShell.
- Analytical background and approach, particularly in event classification, event correlation, and root cause analysis.
