As a Marketing Intelligence Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our leading Energy client’s Retail business. You will operate as a key member of their insights team, driving data-driven decision-making and accelerating the delivery of critical marketing intelligence.
You will be responsible for accelerating insights delivery, driving strategic learning, becoming a consumer champion, amplifying the consumer voice, and mastering research platforms. This includes leading the Marketing Mix Model (MMM) process, empowering the marketing team with DIY research tools, conducting custom research, enhancing competitive intelligence, disseminating insights, and providing ad-hoc support.
This is an opportunity to directly impact brand performance and influence senior leadership through compelling consumer insights. Your mission will be to dramatically reduce the Marketing Mix Model (MMM) final report and recommendation timeline from 7.5 to 5 months, enhancing agility and responsiveness. You will execute annual learning plans, optimizing primary research efforts and answering key strategic questions efficiently.
You will develop deep expertise in the assigned product categories, becoming the go-to consumer insights expert for North America teams, including global brand, marketing, sales, and senior leadership. You will translate complex data into compelling narratives, bringing the consumer perspective to life through insightful reports and presentations.
Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end MMM process, from data collection to final recommendations, coordinating with agencies and Ipsos, facilitating stakeholder meetings, gathering input, and leading reviews. You will also provide expert guidance and coaching on methodology, objective framing, screening, and questionnaire design.
We are looking for a seasoned professional with proven experience in market research and consumer insights, ideally within a retail or consumer goods environment. You should have a strong understanding of marketing mix modeling (MMM) and its application, as well as expertise in designing and conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.
You will work closely with the marketing team to enable them to effectively utilize DIY research platforms, maximizing output. You will also collaborate with global teams to collect and report on share of voice comparisons and lead initiatives to improve digital media capture and reporting accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Experience managing third-party survey vendors and survey tools such as Talkwalker is highly desirable. Strong project management skills and the ability to work well with different teams are essential.
