What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at Aquatic Management of Charlotte?
Aquatic Management of Charlotte is hiring a HR Director. Aquatic Management of Charlotte is part of The Pool Management Group family of companies. The role of an HR Director is very important within our company. Our HR Directors have entered the Aquatics industry from a variety of backgrounds (Teachers, Aquatics Supervisor, general human resources, etc). The HR Director has a lot of responsibilities and reports directly to the General Manager.
The main function of an HR Director is to oversee the hiring ,staffing, and training of the companies commercial swimming pools. In addition, the HR Director will supervise some of our facilities during the summer season. Some of their responsibilities may include:
· Hiring/Staffing – The HR Director will assist in hiring of lifeguards, service techs and any other supervisory staff. This aspect of the job is seasonal and the majority of hiring occurs in the spring to early summer.
· Training – The HR Director will assist in training of lifeguards from time to time, supporting our Red Cross instructors and preferably will be a Red Cross instructor or willing to complete the Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Training.
· Swimming Pool Staff Supervision – During the summer, the HR Director will directly oversee any Pool Managers and Lifeguards at their assigned aquatic facility.
· Overseeing swimming pool operations at a handful of assigned facilities – This includes training staff to chemically balance the aquatic facilities swimming pool, vacuuming the swimming pools, cleaning the pool tiles, cleaning of the facility decks, cleaning of the facility furniture, cleaning of the bathrooms, maintaining the pools circulation system, and all other aspects of running the facilities.
· Cleaning and Closing of Facilities – Occasionally, our HR Director is involved with the Fall Closing of our Aquatic Facilities, including some off-season pool cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS: College Degree required. Minimum 1-2-years experience working with young people, staffing, or similar. LGI certified is preferred. We will provide additional training for the right candidate. Willing to work long, hard hours in spring and summer months.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $45,000-$50,000 Per Year. Insurance and 401k are offered as well.
LOCATION: Negotiable. An office will be provided as part of the position however working remote is acceptable as well.
