Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Water Treatment Specialist to join our team and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of water treatment systems. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment equipment across various facilities. Duties
- Maintain water treatment equipment using construction plumbing skills, hand tools, power tools, and electrical techniques.
- Install, service, and maintain water treatment systems to include water softeners, filtration systems (carbon, sediment, sulfur, RO) and UV disinfection units
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to water systems and mechanical components.
- Perform pipe fitting, assembly, and remodeling tasks to ensure proper system configuration.
- Perform system start-ups, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Conduct routine maintenance (filter changes, resin replacement, system cleaning)
- Diagnose system failures and recommend repairs or upgrades
- Document all work activities meticulously, including schematics updates, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
- Collaborate with construction teams on plumbing and remodeling projects to ensure seamless integration of water treatment systems within existing structures.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and system calibrations during installation or repairs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of water chemistry, water treatment design, sizing, and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical or HVAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of water treatment processes or similar systems.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and system adjustments.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and working in various outdoor or indoor environments.
