Position Overview
This is not a typical maintenance technician position. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership. During your first year, your primary responsibilities will be maintaining our car wash equipment, responding to after-hours emergencies, and supporting new store openings, remodels, and equipment installations. As AquaSonic continues to grow, this position is designed to evolve into a Project Manager role responsible for leading equipment installations, store upgrades, vendor coordination, and future construction projects. Our long-term goal is for this individual to build and lead AquaSonic's Maintenance amp; Projects Department.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Nightly Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance at multiple AquaSonic locations.
- Complete scheduled inspections and equipment servicing.
- Replace worn components before failures occur.
- Maintain pumps, motors, blowers, conveyors, arches, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, plumbing, and chemical delivery equipment.
- Keep locations operating at peak performance.
Emergency Service amp; On-Call Support
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours equipment failures.
- Respond quickly to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Work closely with Operations to restore service safely and efficiently.
- New Store Installations amp; Projects
- Assist with new store openings and equipment installations.
- Coordinate with contractors and equipment vendors.
- Help oversee equipment startups and commissioning.
- Support remodels, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
- Verify projects are completed on time and meet AquaSonic standards.
Project Management Development - As you grow in the role, you'll begin leading projects by:
- Managing installation schedules.
- Coordinating multiple contractors.
- Tracking budgets and timelines.
- Ordering materials.
- Ensuring projects stay on schedule.
- Solving field issues.
- Supporting future store development.
- Our goal is for this position to become the leader of AquaSonic's Maintenance amp; Projects Department.
Inventory amp; Tools
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Keep the company vehicle organized and stocked.
- Care for company-provided tools and equipment.
- Recommend inventory improvements to reduce downtime.
Documentation
- Complete work orders and maintenance records.
- Document repairs and project progress.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions.
Safety
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Promote safe work practices at every location.
What Success Looks Like
- You will help create a culture of Zero Downtime.
- Our washes operate approximately 5,000 hours each year. Every hour of downtime impacts customers, memberships, and revenue. Your job is to proactively identify issues before they become failures and respond quickly when unexpected issues arise.
- Success isn't measured by how many repairs you make—it's measured by how many breakdowns never happen.
Qualifications
- Required
- 2 years of mechanical, electrical, maintenance, automotive, industrial maintenance, construction, or car wash experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel between AquaSonic locations.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and elevated equipment.

- Car wash experience.
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- PLC or controls experience.
- Plumbing experience.
- Electrical experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Construction or project management experience.

Compensation
Year One Compensation: $65,000–$85,000, based on experience, skills, and performance.
This position includes a company truck, tools, technology, and opportunities for performance-based growth as responsibilities expand.
