Aquarium Network has been designing, installing, and maintaining aquariums from Montauk to Manhattan since 1969. We service a wide array of beautiful and high-end freshwater, saltwater, and reef aquariums, as well as ponds. All work is performed on site at the customer's home or business. We are a small, family-run business looking to add another member to our team of dedicated technicians.
Job description:
As an Aquarium Network service technician, you will be responsible for arriving on time to the client's home or office to perform cleaning and maintenance on their aquarium or pond. A typical day starts at the office in Bellmore at 7:30 am, but can start as early as 5 am on some days. Our full-time technicians generally work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You may have anywhere from two to four service appointments on any given day, so the ability to manage your time and work quickly, but carefully, is important.
Job requirements
- Experience with aquariums is a plus
- The ability to work independently
- Effective time-management skills
- Problem solving skills - many filtration components can (and do) break down and our technicians must be able to troubleshoot on site
- The ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation required with Company reimbursement for mileage driving between the client's location and our Bellmore office. After a probationary driving period, a Company van will be available.
- Must have a CLEAN driver's license to drive a Company van
- All technicians be well groomed and are expected to keep their work uniform in good condition
