Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician / Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining pumps, motors, and control systems in commercial and industrial environments.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, can work independently in the field, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
● Diagnose and repair centrifugal, booster, fire, and sump pump systems
● Troubleshoot and service electric motors (single & three-phase)
● Install, start up, and commission pump and motor systems
● Diagnose and repair motor controls, VFDs, starters, and control panels
● Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
● Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
● Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
● Communicate effectively with customers on-site
● Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
● Travelling to different locations in the NYC metro area, Long Island, and New Jersey.
Qualifications
● 3 years of experience in pump, motor, or industrial mechanical service (preferred)
● Strong mechanical aptitude
● Working knowledge of electrical systems (single & three-phase power)
● Working knowledge of mechanical systems (heating and cooling)
● Experience with motor controls and VFDs is a plus
● Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in mechanical rooms or industrial settings
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
● OSHA SST card
● Knowledge of Gas fired boilers is a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
