Production Operation Specialist

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Production Operations Specialist. This position performs a combination of tasks that support daily production goals and objectives.  Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing life cycles, with the ability to work cross-functionally across diverse roles and a proactive approach with a willingness to coach and lead production work cells.

Other key areas of responsibilities include but not limited to:    

• Ability to successfully learn and perform a wide range of production tasks, with an awareness to resolve issues and make educated decisions to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the production life cycle including pre- and post-production responsibilities, activities, and standards. Track results using various software programs
• Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously     
• Ensure all tasks are conducted through to completion with a high level of attention to detail, quality, and product specifications throughout the production process.    
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while working under minimal supervision
• Provide guidance to production floor personnel

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Production Operations Specialist position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two - five years’ work experience in a quality, manufacturing, and/or similar role.  

Other helpful skills and qualifications include:

• Ability to safely operate a powered industrial forklift to support production as necessary and pass all Company forklift training per OSHA mandate.
• Must be able to follow and clearly provide instructions for operating equipment and keeping the required records.
• Proficient computer skills required to enter data, print/track orders and perform numerous tasks related to production, continuous improvement and shipping.
• Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives. 
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook.  
• Able to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
• Speak, read, and write English to read and interpret sops, manuals, and/or instructions.
• Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
• Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive “can do” approach to all responsibilities.
• Able to stand, sit, move, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Execute assignments in an ethical, accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform tasks through to completion.
