Customer Service Associate

La-Mar-Kay, a subsidiary of AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Baton Rouge, LA has an immediate opening for an experienced, organized and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR). The CSR is responsible for exceeding customer expectations by handling inquiries, processing orders and meeting deadlines in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.  The CSR communicates regularly with both internal and external customers and is expected to be professional and respectful at all times.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide customers with quotes on catalog items, product/service availability, lead times, and/or tracking using the company pricing systems and policies
• Handle customer inquiries, orders, concerns, etc. in a way that leaves the customer with a feeling of satisfactory resolution, involving management when necessary
• Demonstrate strong product and service knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary as well as accuracy in entering customer orders and verifying the data is entered correctly
• Stay current with new and existing product development
• Capable of working independently within a team environment
• Represent the company in a way that projects an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding
• Must be available to work Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  No weekends or holidays

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Customer Service experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Ability to handle high call volume in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Displays enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing work assignments, and uses a proactive approach in all duties
