The Tax Manager will work in tandem with the Company’s wealth management and investment departments. The Tax Manager will help design business tax strategies and evaluate best practices to ensure compliance with filing deadlines and tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing business and investment strategies for an optimized after-tax return for a client
- Ensure that business and personal tax-return preparation meets all regulatory requirements
- Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations
- Seek new efficiencies for the Tax department and improve client experience
- Oversee and work with the Tax team to ensure compliance and best practices are being utilized
- Prep/Review business tax returns and individual tax returns
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients by providing exceptional client service and advice
- Seek opportunities for tax saving strategies for businesses including retirement plan contributions, QBI planning, etc.
- Determine best tax structure for businesses and implement
- Remain up to date with changes in the tax code and accounting laws
- Conduct research on tax compliance issues at the state and national levels
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3-6 years of experience working on complex business returns and strategies
- CPA required or in process
- Extensive knowledge of accounting methods and tax laws
