The Staff/Senior Accountant will perform a mix of accounts payable and general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable with internal approval routing.
- Oversee time billing invoices.
- Review and reconcile vendor accounts.
- Review financial records to reconcile land, land improvement, and construction in progress accounts.
- Assist with annual external audits as needed.
- Other ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting required along with 3 years’ experience in accounting or accounts payable with a real estate company.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional and flexible manner.
- Knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles is required.
- MS Office, especially Excel proficiency required.
- Experience with Yardi or Sage Timberline is preferred.
