Forecasting, Budgeting & Reporting
- Build and maintain driver-based 3-statement forecasts and the annual operating budget across two company entities, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- Own the weekly P&L estimate process, including sales volume by customer, margin walks, and variance commentary versus forecast.
- Produce monthly management reporting packages for Executive Leadership, the Board, and PE sponsor.
- Partner with the Cost Accountant/Analyst on standard costs, yield variances, and plant P&L roll-ups.
- Own Aleph as the company’s FP&A platform — model build-out, integrations, user access, and roadmap.
- Design and build dashboards in Aleph for Finance, Sales, and Operations, with ability to clean data from source systems.
- Establish a single source of truth for key metrics across the consolidated company.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI tools (such as Claude and Copilot) to accelerate analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.
- Build pricing models and margin analytics by customer, product, and segment.
- Support customer pricing controls, change logs, and the approval workflow with Sales and Accounting.
- Analyze bids, RFPs, and contract renewals to inform commercial decisions.
- Partner with Plant Leadership and the COO to build operational KPIs: plant yields, throughput, labor (via ProLiant), downtime, and cost per pound.
- Translate operational data into clear, action-oriented dashboards used in weekly management operating reviews.
- Support CapEx analysis and post-investment reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive FP&A, BI, or analytics experience — including time spent building, not just maintaining.
- Hands-on experience building 3-statement forecasts and annual budgets from scratch.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent. SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with Aleph or another modern FP&A platform (Pigment, Mosaic, Cube, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of AI tools (Claude or similar) for analysis and productivity is a plus.
- Manufacturing, food, or other multi-plant industrial experience is a plus.
- Private equity-backed or multi-entity company experience is a plus.
