Aqua Star sources, imports, and distributes products to foodservice customers (including restaurant chains and seafood distributors) and retail customers (food retailers, wholesalers, & club warehouses) across the United States and Canada.
Internship Overview
The Socia Media Intern will assist Aqua Star’s Marketing team in managing company social media accounts. This internship is designed for a highly responsible and motivated student interested in gaining hands‑on experience in social media strategy, brand marketing, and content creation within a professional, fast‑paced corporate environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform an audit of Aqua Star’s social media channels
- Develop and present a social media strategy to the marketing team
- Manage Aqua Star’s social media channels
- Create 3 posts per week: Facebook, Instagram (2 static, 1 reel)
- Create 1 post per week: Pinterest
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on all platforms
- Provide monthly analytics summary of social media activity, detailing relevant results
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a college degree (marketing, communications, business, or related field)
- 2 years’ experience in digital marketing / social media marketing and highly proficient with the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok
- Knowledge of content management systems and social media analytics tools
- Photography and videography skills
- Digital asset creation skills a plus
- Experience with Meta and Google targeted ad campaigns a plus
- Impeccable written communication skills; grammar, accuracy and attention to detail
- Creative, organized, and eager to learn
- Must love food, especially seafood!
- Ability to work in the Seattle office consistently during the internship period (2-3 days per week and upon request)
